I am in the process of creating an online course specifically designed for new moms (that have kids 10 and younger) to learn how to process negative emotions like sadness, frustration, and loneliness faster and more effectively. Let's be honest, when it comes to negative emotions "Ain't Nobody Got Time Fo That!"
My website is called Pole Awareness, first because it's a play on words of "whole awareness" (being centered) and secondly because pole dance is what really drove into me that choosing self love and processing emotions was integral to being effective in anything in life. For example: parenting, money, health, relationships...hell even housework all improved when I understood this; I couldn't really be good at anything unless I was able to be good to myself first.
The octopus represents how moms usually juggle everything (8+ things simultaneously) but, with emotional stability, they are also adaptable, flexible, and can handle any situation if need be. I have been involved in years of research trying to accomplish octopus status and strive to help other new moms struggling to find balance in such a hectic lifestyle get there too.
